Chad Earl: Chad, co-owner of MediFit Wellness Group, earned his undergraduate degree in dietetics from Bradley University, in May 2000. He also was certified in personal training in the fall of that same year by the American Council on Exercise. Shortly after graduation his employment was changed from part time to full time with S.C.O.R.E. Basketball Academy for girls of Naperville Illinois. There his primary responsibility was the development of physical ability and nutrition plans for the youth participants ranging in age from 10 to 18 years of age. The programming over a course of 2 years expanded from team counseling and program design, to one on one exercise specialization routines, injury prevention plans, sport recovery programs, male counterpart program offerings, and adult health improvement programming options. That job however was limited to after school hours only, and so an early morning and daytime employment was sought out and became available at Balley’s Total Fitness in Lombard and Edward Health and Fitness Hospital Campus in downtown Naperville. Once there within a matter of several months he quickly became a sought after trainer combining nutritional insights, health education, intense workouts, humor, and a unique perspective on personal behavior. The clientele in each location steadily increased and within three years he left the employment of both the fitness and basketball companies and started his own wellness practice Dupage Fitness and Rehabilitation in February 2004.
Dupage Fitness and Rehabilitation has grown over the years from a one man operation to a staff of two physical therapists, two personal trainers one of which is a Yoga and Pilates instructor, and a clinical massage therapist. The business hours of operation are seven days a week 5:00 a.m. to 9:00p.m. appointment only. Chad has practiced personal training, health coaching, behavior modification and sport performance training for over 14 years. He has deepened his knowledge of nutrition, exercise, and behavior counseling by taking countless nutrition and exercise seminars and graduate courses dealing with specialized wellness topics. Currently he is taking courses in the Benedictine Masters of Nutrition and Wellness Program, in pursuit of a C.H.E.S. and C.C.N. certification. In furthering his education in nutrition and wellness a new vision was formed were medicine and complimentary wellness services can combine.
The Medifit Wellness Group was born and Co-founded in 2012 with the goal of transforming patient care and management within the current health paradigm. Chad prides himself on being flexible, supportive, and attentive to meet the unique needs of his client base.
