About the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Dupage County Branch

Chair: Rose M. Madison

Rose is a Subscribing Life Member of the NAACP. She serves as the Membership Chair, Secretary, Community Coordination Chair and Webmaster. Involved for the past seven years, she actively advocates on behalf of the Branch by informing others of the significance of NAACP membership, maintaining the membership database and collaborating with other service organizations. Rose works for Benedictine University as the Assistant Registrar for Technical Services and Support and also serves as the Advisor for the Black Student Union. She is the proud mother of three beautiful daughters, Aarika, Aarian and Raina and one grandson, Mikhail. Rose has been a member of New Horizon Christian Fellowship Church for the past 16 years. Involvement with the NAACP gives Rose great joy in knowing that she is continuing a legacy that her father started many years ago when he became a Life Member of the NAACP in 1966. Core Responsibilities

1. To drive towards exceeding the goal of 1,000 total members by December 31st, 2012

2. Interpret Membership drive "best practices" from National and State level

3. To ensure support events with a booth or presence to gather NAACP memberships (particularly ACT-SO and annual Gala)

4. Provide recognition to new members and those who support the membership drive

5. Complete monthly report as needed
