Core Responsibilities

1. Help with direct involvement with YBM's facing issues such as:

a. Lacking understanding of need for education or to pick up a trade

b. Risks of having children too young / effects on life

c. Growing up in a single mother household / no father figure

d. Drugs & Alcohol

e. Incarceration

f. Facing racism and the emotional/psychological impact

g. Being black in mostly white schools/neighborhoods, identify crisis

h. And more…..

2. Goal – to give YBM's confidence to rise up through their challenges, to meet examples

3. Be willing to speak or mentor at schools and ⁄ or youth group organizations

4. To serve as role models to young black men, be willing to be a "buddy" & mentor

5. To ignite success for underprivileged and underdeveloped young black males in DuPage, Will, Kane, or Kendall communities.
